Lewis Hamilton has been in the news awfully a lot since his back-to-back victories in the North American Grand Prix. Two of the latest buzz about him just says a lot about Lewis being the hottest piece of real estate in UK as of this moment.
He had put up his 80mph/130kph go-kart for auction a few days back for a charity auction. The auction bids went up pretty quickly and closed out at GBP42,000 (approximately USD83,500). All proceeds went to baby charity Tommy’s. What a guy. *sniff*
In the other property-related news, Mclaren Team Principal Ron Dennis fears for Hamilton’s continued stay in Britain, citing invasion of privacy issues that may come with his elevated status in the eyes of the media. Possible locations include Switzerland, or the favorite tax haven of F1 drivers, Monaco.
